Ascot Trials Monday

The well bred (Zeditave / Mercurial Madam) 2yo filly Zany Lady was the fastest trial winner at Ascot on Monday. Ridden by the pontiff Zany Lady won her heat easily with a bit in reserve. Still to have her first official race start reported that trainer Trevor Andrews has a high opinion of this filly.

No joy yesterday at Pinjarra Park with Squizz Master, Beyond Blue and Country Thunder (all unplaced), Dancing Tiger (unplaced) Ascot Inn and Beyond Blue (both scratched), Calarosa Donna (unplaced), Ball Lee (unplaced), Manjar Magic (3rd) and Dashing Belle (unplaced).

Ball Lee who looked to be bolting early in running suffered a bleeding attack and dropped out to run a long last.
