hows the track looking for tomorrow sandgropers?
|
Doubt the track would have recovered from the slow rating Saturday.
Weather wasn't too bad Sunday / Monday but the rain is back today. |

The rain has well & truly set in over here. I'd be looking to those with a 'W' (webbed feet) against their name :) |

Interesting that Tom the Perth Cup winner(Group 2 or Group 3?) gets more weight than Fruit and Veg winner(Group 1) and last start winner Blevvo... |

Main Stage looks nicely in at the weights. Meets Blevvo much better at the weights on their last start & although Main Stage was well beaten on that occasion he didn't settle in that race & he has been freshened. |

You can say that again pop! Return clash for Heavenly Business and Morocco Bound who dead-heated for 1st this race last year. Priceless Matt ran a close 3rd. Then you have Beyond Dispute, Scenice Assault and Moodometer just to name a few more. |

Does seem a bit strange umrum!? Perhaps the handicapper thought it was a 2 mile event! LOL |

The engagement of the pontiff to ride Greta Bridge (R1) looks a significant pointer to the filly's chances. Harvey rode the filly when she was unplaced in a recent barrier trial but he has stuck with her. Greta Bridge's prior 3 runs in the city (before spelling) were all ok and were against good opposition.
The Poacher (R2) should be ready to run a big race at his 3rd start back. Nice run last start after missing the start and will be suited by the extra 200m today. Morag (R6) is back to her right class today after 2 nice runs in higher classes, races well Northam. |

Trials for Lark Hill, Monday 21/8/2006 - Track: Slow
Track was slow so not sure how the form will line up later.
Equal fastest heats run by Beat The Storm (heat 4) and Luskin Dancer (heat 6). Luskin Dancer yet to face the starter on race day has had 1/2 dozen trials to-date, this being her best result. Beat The Storm last raced Nov 05 where he finished 4th in a 1400M event at Ascot behind the likes of Scenic Shot, Hi On Love and Cape North. Only 2 starts prior was unplaced Belmont and runner-up mdn at Bunbury. |
