Belmont Sat
The run of the meet for me was Seafarer. Very impressive in notching up win 2 (now 2 from 2). Destined for bigger things.
Nice run by Black Tom in the Cup. Will be improved big time by the run. |
Well done Dockers!
Quote:
Thought the Dockers would win but not by that many points! Very interesting scenarios if they can beat Port next week (which they should). |
Quote:
Strong win CP. Don't see why he can't go on with it. |
Quote:
A shocker of a run although did pull up slightly lame in the off fore! |
Quote:
Agree Seafarer, top win. Also impressed with the first-up effort of Kames Hope. 2nd-up performances not all that flash in the past so suggest you watch / small bet next run then follow-up. |

Trials for Belmont, Monday 28/8/2006 - Track: Good
Fastest trial winner was the lightly raced 4YO stallion Tarzi ridden by Paddy Carbery. Won his heat very easily and with something in hand. The former Victorian galloper who is yet to race in WA has won races at Flemington, Caulfield and Ballarat.

Could be Belle Bizarre's last race in WA before heading east to settle-in prior to her planned eastern states campaign kicking off in Melbourne. |
Belmont, Saturday
Paul Harvey will ride Belle Bizarre (in the Farnley Stakes) and Egomaniac (for his wife Janelle) at Belmont on Saturday before commencing a 12 day suspension that will mean he misses a ride in the Hannan’s Handicap.

Scenic Assault has been scratched from tomorrow's Farnley Stakes, roman Still recovering from an abscess complaint. |
Thats a shame. Thought he has a good chance tomorrow.

Sure is!

Hope it don't spoil the footy tomorrow! A Port win of course :D
|
Big test this weekend following the fluke win by the dockers and our extended injury list. But I think we CAN do it ;)
|
Had her first up, will be following up on Grasspatch Girl.
Belle Bizarre... Melbourne ambitions, she'd have to win this. Worse off at the weights this start, may just be too good... think Rescuer could be the one to beat her, if any. Best of luck ;) |
