It was hard to pick em' today, though I ended up ok with 2 place bets, should I say,? Paris Petard and Beat the Storm, well..... that's how it goes, also got a scratching in Alchemic. BUT my tip from the meeting is Mr. Diagnosis, not taking anything away from the winner but this one is a profit staring at ya!! GUARANTEED!!

Chef D'Oeuvre
Quote:
Chef D'Oeuvre very well bred & will only get better with racing! |
grey matter wrap-up
At Ascot Sat Wongkaew and Diamond Grey were placed. Wool Zone and Grasspatch Girl (20/1) both saluted.
|
Black Tom
Black Tom's imminent trip east has been called off after the entire was discovered to have bruising in the back hoof.
At least that explains his below par performance in the Northam Cup on Sunday! |
Quote:
Probably a blessing, I think he would have found it very tough going on the eastern seaboard. |
Trials for Belmont, Monday 23/10/2006 - Track: Fast
The Paul Jordan trained Volition ran the fastest heat of the day, beating Great Nation by 0.75 len.
Volition hasn't started since unplaced in the Coolgardie Cup back in August. The freshen-up looks to have done him well. Great Nation ridden by Willie Pike looked to have a bit up his sleeve and was probably the better run of two. Great Nation has had 18 starts for 11 wins and shouldn't take long to add to that tally. |

Didn't Grasspatch Girl win well steve! Unfortunately I underestimated her chances (or overestimated the chances of some of the opposition) and only had a little on her, but something's better than nothing ;) |

At Pinjarra tomorrow we have Bannerkens and Tonight in the 2nd. Top Drive in the 5th. Our Solid Bond in the 6th. And Tribal Lover and Dashing Belle in the 7th.

She did westman but the next two were gaining on her over the last bit. Surprisingly good price considering she wasn't beaten far previous start over the trip by Ripped who from memory was 2nd or 3rd fav for Saturdays race. |

Maiden performer Capuchin should go very close to notching win no. 1 meets Translate better at weights although that horse has the better barrier and gives weight to McDaniel. That trio look a bit above the rest. Forward Thrust could surprise first-up. Revvy Jay 2 wins from 2 and Mansion House winner only race start also chances.

Just a reasonable day - a few winners & a few places at shortish odds - nothing to get excited about. |
Thought Bella Pia pretty impressive yesterday. Next run Champion Fillies Stakes.

Just wanted to get your opinion guys on a horse I have followed a little bit in the West in Raw Metal noticed he hasn't raced for about a month now was also wondering if something had happened to him at all thought he might have been being aimed towards the Railway or something along those lines

On the mend after a mishap in transit to a meet at Belmont a couple of weeks back. Pricked in the hoof by a tap screw when he ripped off the protective rubber on the floor of the float. |
Good news for Egomaniac fans! Connections have paid the $82.5K (late entry fee) to get him into the field for next Saturday's $1.5 million AAMI Victoria Derby.
