Trials for Lark Hill, Monday 29/1/2007 - Track: Good

Some good runs Monday in particular Moisture & Our Loving Rebecca. Moisture won her heat in the fastest time of the day. Our Loving Rebecca showed surprising turn of foot to chalk up the 2nd fastest time of the day. Both ladies won their heats in convincing fashion.

Tragic news that the promising 2YO filly Townclock had to be put down yesterday after being badly galloped on, severing a tendon during the running of race 2. Sent out fav with the pontiff aboard she was unbeaten in 2 barrier trials prior to yesterdays official race debut.

watsonnek 4th February 2007 05:20 PM

PINJARRA PARK R5 today (9) Our Loving Rebecca - jumps with them will win!

watsonnek 5th February 2007 06:58 AM

Part owners Janelle Harvey and co must be devastated. Ironically injury occurred in re-run of race. Gates opened prematurely first time with most runners being pulled-up after going some 400 meters.

The injury was severe - both tendons and her suspensory severed - no way they could save her! Very sad :(

Rumour going around that Keyton Grace may be heading east!?

westman 5th February 2007 06:15 PM

Don't think so Chiquita. Last I heard the Bunbury Stakes & the Chaff City Classic were on the cards for Keyton Grace.

westman 5th February 2007 07:11 PM

Then again if the Mighty M has early success over east KG connections may change their mind!

Would have been interesting to see how she measured up. Would love to see her race against the mares in Melbourne!

Unfortunately another casualty from the weekend. Blind Power bowed a tendon during the running of race 8 Sat. Thought they could save him but had to be put down.

Thats a damn shame :( Rough-house race! Blind Power jock Willy Pike suspended for 17 days (careless riding)!!

Did anyone get out to the trials on Monday? Interested in how Hartleys Dream pulled up after winning his heat.

westineast 7th February 2007 09:02 AM

Anyone who is serious about punting should take notice of trials. The winners don't always win races in the short term (sometimes longer term) but you can always tell what ones are ready to win and so on. A great tool to assist nailing that allusive winner.

Didn't get out there so can't comment Modem, however just having a quick look at the results I notice that Azzuri Sky won his heat easily. I think this is a very good 2YO and he has been set (according to my mail) for the Magic Millions.

Great tipping Chiquita! Guess you must be chuffed with all the 'applauds' from other forumites (not). If you haven't noticed, this forum is dying if not dead. The bias on this forum is unbelievable ;)
