Anyone know why they're racing at Ascot tomorrow (Tues)? Would have thought Wed a better day (Mornington Cup day)!

All races are named after WA local football clubs , but it may have something to do with Chinese New Year. Maybe the races are being sent live to Hong Kong who also have a meeting. |

I heard channel 9 will be broadcasting races this year. It seems the TV guide shows Melbourne gets the races but Perth misses out, is this true?

I have a soft spot for this horse , backing it on a number of occassions , but I think it has found the city class of race above its capabilities of recent times. Last few wins have been at Albany & Mt Barker. Interesting to note though , that today is 1st start at Pinjarra. |
Any chance My Leo might have had went out the door when caught wide most of the journey yesterday. Not sure where he finished, the RWWA website has results for all races yesterday bar the Chaff City Classic.
Royal Lott by far the run of the race, unfortunately I backed him to win :( |

At Ascot tomorrow we have Kens Double in the 1st. Unraced for the Parnham team. Pity Me the 2nd getting fitter. Rock of Cashel the 4th has a good first-up record. Silvermorn the 5th has apprentice claim to assist. Silver Token the 6th only a rough show. A few greys in the last. Best would be Outside Edge & Strong Force. Others Its The Doctor trained by Fred Kersley shocker only start & Sunday Dream a maiden who has put in the odd good run.

2 from 3 for Willy Pike so far today. Could easily add the that tally by the end of the meet.
|
Quote:
Well lets hope I haven't put the mocka on poor young Willy. Hasn't added to his tally & only 2 rides remain  |
Quote:
Placed the last 2. Just the one ride today at York, Power Gaze in the 5th. Good to see Clint Harvey back in the saddle! |
Quote:
Looks like Willy's only ride for today will start very short! I hope for Willy's sake & the majority of punters that Power Gaze salutes!! I'll be happy to just watch ;) |
Quote:
Clint Harvey made his comeback in the last at Ascot yesterday. First official race ride (has ridden in some trials) since Oct 05. Well worth following once he strikes some form. |
Quote:
Glad I just watched. All that way to York (and back). Not a happy day. Let's hope he strikes oil once again this Saturday. |
