And so you should be westman, sliced 0.19 seconds off Auspec's 1993 2yo class 6 record and came within 0.64 of Pago Escort's 1990 track record!

Great to see Beat The Storm win the Belmont Sprint Sat for part-owner Rod Kemp. Almost 20 years to the day that injuries sustained in a race fall ended the champion jockey's stellar riding career.

By all reports things got pretty emotional. Good onya Rodney & other connections!

Shame about No Questions bleeding. Was gone before the turn. At least we now know why.

R4 Lachino will be suited the distance. Busters Icon good 2nd-up record. R5 former eastern states filly Latvia comes off a last start win at Northam. R6 one of my fav greys Crossing Jordan will give another honest performance. In the last River Mist another honest campaigner will no doubt give of her best.

ventured west
Race 3 former Gai Waterhouse trained Men At Work should run a much improved race today.
|
Wasn't a bad run last start DCFC, looks to be on the improve & now racing over suitable distances.

another sandgroper relocating east - Early Express going to Lee Freedman
|
isnt blessed sue also going to freedman?
|
Yep, has already gone
|
Blessed Sue already earmarked by Freedman to be a traveling partner with the Fighting Tigress if Miss Andretti travels back to the UK next year.

grey matter
Northam today, a couple of 1st starters in R1, who knows could do well – Pumpkin Head & Spirited One – both have good trial form. R3 Chamoon didn’t do much only start & Vainekko placed all 3 provincial starts. R7 Kenny Kenfair fitter for recent starts & same Grey Johnson. And in the last we have last start winner, Cassius Grey.
|
I'll think we'll have to make Lee Freedman an honorary sandgroper! Seems promising filly Joey Jo Jo is also heading east to continue her racing career under the guidance of Lee!!

Yeah nice debuts by the youngsters, Spirited One just getting up to nudge Pumpkin Head out of the major price. Good win by Vainekko as well.
