As hard as it is to put a positive spin on yesterdays debacle the only good thing to come out of it is next time they meet (hopefully over 1600) Dark Target will be way ver the odds.

Ridden properly, off the speed, Dark Target would give Megatic windburn.

How do you go past El Presidente? I'll be playing the first4. Could be some value. A few of the outsiders are capable of placing.

Geez 22nd November 2007 08:49 AM

Until barriers were released thought New Spice & Mansion House were genuine chances against El Presidente. Still think they’re the main trio.

Mav3000 22nd November 2007 12:45 PM

New Spice for me.

Mr Sandgroper a rough place chance with Danny Brereton to ride.

Mr Quaddie 22nd November 2007 12:53 PM

A decent win on El. but if Hartleys had got there it would have been my biggest win in Australia in 20 years. shouldn't complain.

cinna 25th November 2007 07:18 PM

My ratings (Jims') had the old boy as 4th selection so had a lovely Quin collect!!

westi 25th November 2007 08:38 PM

Nice run Guyno in the Railway. The Kingston Town Classic (1800M) will be ideal ;)

I'm on record here as saying that Hartleys Dream was much better than most thought, but of course that was b4 El Presidente. Tell me WHY even propelled by 93-1 (Unitab) , didn't I take the quinella???? I don't know, I backed El. P. to win and HD EW + numerous attempts at the Tri.

Just another "big fish story" I guess.

Like Guyno will get better with extra distance

Geez, yes I spotted that, did you get the tri? I had them every which way but that, backed the first 4 in the novelties and didn't collect.........
