has a great 2nd-up record [a definite chance]

puntersteve 2nd February 2008 11:29 AM

SKMRC CHALLENGE
Verossi & Jolanta Star have ew chances. Verossi should be ok 1st-up & has early speed to overcome a wide draw. Jolanta Star will be on the pace & has a nice barrier. Like Mr Quaddie I think Moisture a good chance but the barrier gives me some concern. Many other chances. Not a bad bunch of 3YOs for this time of year!

westman 2nd February 2008 12:12 PM

westman 5th February 2008 08:25 AM

Yep, Magical Belle a top effort.
Nice tipping from puntersteve as well!

Dark Target scratched, elevated temperature, not too bad but enough to play safe.

2nd fav at the moment..,likely to start fav..,read somewhere that Yuros trainer believes he needs 2000M plus..,so the distance step-up wont hurt but will it be enough

watsonnek 16th February 2008 08:42 PM

More ground judging by todays race!

partypooper 17th February 2008 03:41 AM

in my humble opinion, either there is some skullduggery going on OR something MORE sinister, this is just one too many failures for Harvey!

watsonnek 17th February 2008 09:29 PM

Might be time to change managers!

Little Imagele 18th February 2008 07:15 AM

15 rides without a winner not so long ago…since 2 (trial win excluded) wins from 9 rides…current strike rate at provincials much better than city

watsonnek 20th February 2008 09:18 PM

Are my eyes deceiving me? Do I see Tapdog listed to race in the last at Gero tomorrow!!

Dancing Sun 21st February 2008 10:41 AM

Nope, he is in and is the topweight carrying 64

Chiquita 21st February 2008 03:09 PM

I thought Tapdog had retired after he sustained an injury in the 2007 Geraldton Cup which he won. Well there you go!

I see he has won 2 recent trials over 1000m. A few others may be a bit slick for him over the 1200m but who knows, might surprise.

partypooper 24th February 2008 10:37 AM

The change in riding tactics (settling further back in the field rather than have it ridden on the pace which is its normal racing pattern) didn't hurt any. Wonder if they'll try it again.
