$7 fixed - bookies keeping it safe. Should be very interesting tomorrow how he measures up and handles the opposite way as heads to The Doncaster.

purplepassion 11th April 2008 02:02 PM

Equal to the task imo
Not tried in the wet but by Danetime so should be able to handle it

peanutz 12th April 2008 12:47 AM

paul harvey riding

watsonnek 12th April 2008 09:11 PM

Mr Quaddie 13th April 2008 11:29 PM

Anyone know the meaning of a double in which the tipster puts in?

iggy25 14th April 2008 06:29 AM

any particular tipster or tipsters in mind ??

watsonnek 15th April 2008 08:09 PM

Yeah, same question here.

Mr Quaddie 15th April 2008 10:47 PM

Just that in some newspapers tipsters would put their best best and their double. I know what best best means, I am trying to work out what double means.

Two things springs to mind. ONE, double the amount you would bet on this race (horse). TWO, take the previous race selection and have a running double with this race's selection.

schonegg 16th April 2008 01:22 AM

Couple of good races on Saturday. Sires Produce, was the win of Brava Fortune in the Karrakatta a fluke?

there were a few hard-luck stories in the Karrakatta
the re-match over the extra journey will be very interesting

Yeah most disappointing! Connections of Action Pak / Daka's Gem might as well get in line now to collect their major shares of the prize!!

Mr Quaddie 16th April 2008 02:39 PM

Impact Rating will win this. Lovely run last start.

….selection marked double refers to next best with the actual recommended double being that selection with the best bet or vice versa [depending which races first]
...this could be a sequential double...eg. race 5 into race 6 or an all-up eg. race 1 into race 6....[i.e. half a quaddie sort of :) ]

Mr Quaddie 16th April 2008 09:24 PM

Half of me? My son shall be named Mr Double!

Thanks iggy!

Racing & Wagering WA

Due to insufficient acceptors the WA St Leger (LR) 2400m, scheduled at Ascot this Saturday, has been deleted from the programme.

The WA St Leger has now been re-programmed for Saturday 19 July 2008 and will replace the Winter Cup.

Mr Quaddie 17th April 2008 02:19 PM

Paul Harvey is so out of form, maybe he should consider retiring.

robbo 17th April 2008 07:21 PM

Those at club Olay disagree :D

Chiquita 21st April 2008 11:28 AM

Harvey must be having his worst run ever! Any reason?

watsonnek 22nd April 2008 05:45 PM

I think to some extent punters are expecting too much of Harvey. Some of the cattle he has been riding recently have actually performed to near their best but have been beaten.

proxy 22nd April 2008 07:59 PM

seems to get caught wide a lot?

proxy 22nd April 2008 08:24 PM

good time to be following pike & whiting

schonegg 22nd April 2008 08:47 PM

Harvey not riding Megatic in Saturday's Doncaster(Jay Ford is). Not sure what that tells us ?

It went really bad today, beaten nearly 20 lengths!

In Perth today, promising types continued on their winning way. Special Reserve just got up and has now won 7 from 9 starts. Inarticulate won again making it 4 straight wins.

watsonnek 27th April 2008 05:35 PM

Yeah schonegg, good performances by those two in Perth, easy win Danecay as well

Dancing Sun 28th April 2008 06:10 PM
