Was at the course Sat. West River Charley looked as if he had a serious problem on leaving the mounting yard as he passed the winning post. He just didnt stretch out into anything resembling a comfortable action. Ran accordingly. Surprised no vet check at the barrier. |

Roma Cup
Alright lets get rolling for what looks like a good card at Belmont this weekend, with the feature race being the Roma Cup,with Marasco Vs El Presidente.
Lets get some early thoughts. im going to stick with Marasco i think the class of this horse will get him well in front by the time they cross the line. Vizard looks probably the best of the day as well |
Only bad luck will beat Marasco. El Presidente, Arctic Park & Royal Lott should fight it out for the skinny end of the purse.
|
Charlie Beau should knock them off for $18. Unlucky last start, goes well this trip, has white bait on board this time. Looks the goods here.
|
Great racing Belmont
Hopefully the track is dead at worst.
Race 4, Vizard with 58kg will be all the rage, keeps running very fast sectionals. Young apprentice in-form too. Race 7 Roma Cup. What a popular horse Marasco has become. $2 fixed is mighty skinny in a field of 15. I'll be watching only and hoping he wins:) |

Partypooper, Marasco ran below his normal self last start. Today will tell if he retains the same ability. A great race with El Presidente, who is Cox Plate bound!

Marasco looked a class above El Presidente yesterday. Will be interesting to see what the future plans are for both horses |
A great win. Reading todays news Marasco will spell then head to Melbourne again for the spring. Guessing will be sprint trips(< 1600m).
|
Who would have thought you'd see the day when Oraya Gold would beat El Presidente? amazing!
|
Do WE and the MEDIA talk these animals up too much too soon, and then we kick em while there down
|
I was "PRAISING" the performance of Oraya Gold rather than "KNOCKING" the performance of El Presidente....................
|
sorry if i come across as having a go at you because i wasnt, i am probably the most guilty of anyone, i love talking a horse and seeing it do well, and i am probably the first to kick it when its down
