Did you cleanup on Journey, tevez17, nice tip. Hifalutin & New Spice not far away but did look to have every chance.

Yeah mate had a nice wedge on it foxed at 8's then a little more on when i saw it get out on UNItab was delighted, as for the other 2, had their chances really didn't they?! Just were not up to it, i'd like to see Hayes leave Hifalutin over there it's a different horse on a dry track,

Watch out for Geyser Peak on a Good over the mile almost unbeatable in current company.

MyHatMyCoat 28th June 2009 12:36 PM

Yeah, you’re right about the good track tevez17, 4 starts over here, 2 wins good, 2 unplaced dead.

Hi Jake. The stewards report a bit thicker than normal. Have a read. Most unlucky See A Victory, Gum Nut Guru & Le Plunge, to list a few. I see you tipped Kaiser Crown, did you actually back it? Well done if you did, the gods smiled.

He is getting tantalisingly close, schonegg. Three-time runner-up. And another meet dominated by Oz hoops.

yeah hat..the gods were smiling..
the stewards were obviously very busy yesterday..

MyHatMyCoat 4th July 2009 09:03 AM

The stewards were very busy. Protest upheld Le Plunge (A. Kennedy) against Special Project (D. Staeck). No suspension or warning for Staeck. Thought that a bit unusual considering the interference was enough to uphold a protest.

jake 4th July 2009 01:19 PM

belmont..r1..small field..plenty of chances imo..top 4 should fight it out..dante’s dash..new spice..star encounter..dante’s banquet..at odds..it’s gulleygold..

At Belmont on the weekend a couple of notable runs. Tudor Lad was very impressive, finishing sprint like a good one...

What did you think of Tudor Lad's run yesterday, schonegg? I didn't think he was going to get as close as he did, halfway down the straight.

schonegg 5th July 2009 05:15 PM

Hey Hat, a little disappointed in Tudor Lad but it was its first run at 1650m, maybe they'll drop it back to 1400m next time. The leader/winner ran a great race running good time.
The ride of the day to Shaun O'Donnell. From bar 15 had Spitfire Ice parked 3rd behind the two leaders shortly after the start!

They might just drop him back to 1400m schonegg, but I actually think he could develop into a nice middle-distance horse.

jake 8th July 2009 12:45 PM

belmont r1..main trio..villazon..master tenby & clueless angel..next best..excellar..not a single mak..at odds..initial outcome..liberty street & yowie’s dream..

schonegg 8th July 2009 06:11 PM

Chloe Chatfield

6 winners in the last 3 metro meetings. In demand, and still claiming 2kg.

MyHatMyCoat 9th July 2009 11:42 PM

Most impressed with the ride on Metal Flake. Front-runners in particular just go so well for her.

tevez17 10th July 2009 03:12 AM

be Backing Journey again in a slightly tougher affair!

"JOURNEY (B. Parnham) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped, unbalancing its rider. When questioned regarding the performance, rider advised that the filly failed to sprint when the pace quickened at the 800m and raced in a dour manner thereafter."

Maybe more ground tevez17.

jake 12th July 2009 11:22 AM

..don't know about schonegg..but i think it's a sign of very good things to come..

jake 12th July 2009 05:23 PM

..btw..scenic bullet's jockey yesterday..campbell mccallum..don't know of him?

schonegg 12th July 2009 06:54 PM

Don't know much about that jock jake, indentured to Dan Morton so may get a few good rides. He rated that Feelin Dandy in front perfectly at Kalg today.
Scenic Bullet has gone up to 88 Rated so it'll be the ole up in class/down in weight next time but it should be over the better suited 2000m+. I thought one of the Country cups in Melbourne would've been well in its grasp.

Campbell McCallum is on a 3 month loan to Ascot trainer Dan Morton. Apprenticed to Lee Hope in Victoria. Began his riding career in Cairns. Scenic Bullet (on Sat) was his 1st city winner. Made it a double with Luskin Dancer.

MyHatMyCoat 15th July 2009 10:23 AM

On the subject of Scenics, news is that Scenic Blast swallowed his tongue and choked down in the July Cup, now ok and getting ready for Japan.
