Caught the last bit of a report (radio) the other day about Miss Andretti being put up for sale by her owners? Thought she was in-foal? Any detail guys?

Hi RJ. Yep, Miss Andretti is carrying her first foal (to Exceed And Excel). With regards to being sold, apparently one of the two owners want to sell Miss Andretti (with foal) but other doesn’t. Potential asking price said to be very big bucks. Wait on further development.

Fantastic news schonegg, connections must be over the moon. Have you heard any news with regards Scenic Blast progress towards his next race, from memory the Sprinters Stakes in Japan early Oct.

schonegg 1st September 2009 12:12 PM

No Hat, other than reading todays papers, he's currently in England getting ready for the Japan race, then to HongKong after that. The Sprinters Stakes is big money , the race worth nearly $3m AUD with winner getting about $1.3m, and he'll get another $1.2m bonus if he wins there for having won in 3 countries.

Cheers Hat, I guess the owner that wants to sell could just sell his / her share anyway, unless there is some kind of 'all-in' agreement. Looking forward to the birth of Miss Andretti first little-one.

Good tip there Jake of Wye River. Really deserved to win a race, kept running on strongly in shorter races.

From Belmont Saturday, Waratah's Secret is the new buzz horse. Has won both its starts by 6 lengths. The Oratorio breed don't seem to get further than Saturdays 1300m, maybe this could be an exception as was cruising on the line.

jake 8th September 2009 02:34 AM

yeah schonegg..wye river was overdue..very strong over the last bit sunday.. waratah's secret has looked very smart only 2 starts..zabeel / sir tristram blood on the dam side..so could do ok over further ground..ma chienne looked good winning on saturday as well..

Hi schonegg, if you're about, do you think anything can beat the reverend tomorrow?

schonegg 13th September 2009 02:05 AM

Hi Hat, I'm going to take a chance hoping Late Night Flight gets the trip. It should press on and lead from Yes We Can early, then hope Chloe gives it an easy time.

Isn't Reverend Lovejoy so consistent, 6 wins from last 9 starts. It should get the gun run behind the leader, or move to outside it at some stage, so you have to throw it in all the multiples. Gondorff got cluttered up on the rail last time so it might help coming with a run down the outside this time.

Did you see Sir Hallowell yesterday? It was like, oooh lah!

What a great finish, eh schonegg. Looked like Gondorff might have nabbed him on the line but the Reverend prevailed! A very gutsy effort.

Yeah schonegg, was very impressive. Blinkers on first time. Still raced a bit greenly. Kid Choisir did it both ends against the older horses. Shock Value good run same race. Strong win Foxy Boy after being held up in the early part of the straight.

Rogan Josh 15th September 2009 01:18 PM

I'd say Kid Choisir was the best run Sat. Worked in the breeze and won virtually untouched. Interestingly Sir Hallowell finished 4lens behind Kid Choisir at his 1st start. Sir Hallowell has obviously improved heaps since that run.

What a super win by Gondorrf. It was its first distance run since coming from Victoria and certainly appreciated the trip. Danny Staeck seemed real happy as he almost stood up as they crossed the line!

At Belmont, Hay List made it 7/7. Next target seems to be the 1200m Listed Birthday Stakes in a couple of weeks. One to follow is London from that same race. Next time, second up over 1200m would suit.

not sure what happened..but apparently dashing dan didn't ride dante's banquet in the cup..late replacement..brett mathews..

schonegg 21st September 2009 12:59 AM

Mathews received plenty of flak for his ride yesterday, and not sure if the jockey change was transmitted to all media outlets.

Other news, Sir Hallowell is shin sore and gone for spell :(

Yeah, Danny was involved in a barrier mishap early in the day. Declared unfit to ride the remainder of the meeting.

Hi schonegg. Was a super run Hay List after missing the start. Agree, London also a nice run. Fastest 600 of the day.
