Hi Guys, just a quick posting to say I will be away for most of Sept and probably will not be able to post my selections, but should be back again in Oct. Not sure how everyone is going, but posting early without checking the tracks etc has put me out of kilter already!!. When I ran the same selection criteria for august (with the results/track conditions updated it shows 4 less selections - haven't checked them all out yet, but noticed the one in WA for last sat is gone due to the heavy track - think this will account for the majority. (Moral: DO NOT POST EARLY!!! - check out all situations!) But did notice all the failures from the first week were still there!!!
To date when doing my selections, I have probably been doing more work than PP, so this system, is basically what I am doing manually (with a minor role by PP), however this will hopefully get PP to do the bulk of the work and me with the minor role!! Am hoping for about a 30% + SR and a POT of also 30% plus. This is the second month I have run it in real time - and at the end of the 2 months it is on a 33% SR with a 37% POT - if this keeps going I will be an extremely happy chappie! Interesting, on the back testing from Jan 2002 to 30th June 2004 its results were in my predicted range. For August as per the PP test it showed a 32% SR with a 32% POT. Obviously, the eliminations (eg due to track; types of races ie maidens etc) will be one of the major keys to its success or otherwise. I will run it in October in Parallel with my manual system and if all goes well will ditch the manual system and just go with this from Nov onwards. Has anyone else got the "pedigree" of their System? They should make interesting reading. Cheers and good punting.
