Lastrun too bad to be true? = Megatic
Gut = Elliotto Common sense = American |
tony noonan stable upbeat about coconut grove in the last race, didnt get a start in railway.

Good Railway, and a coup to get the Emirates winner. Hayes has been a good supporter of Perth Racing. There isn't a natural leader. Probably Megatic and Sniper's Bullet to roll foward. In barrier order :
|
Nice summation schonegg. Without any noted front runners a good possi early looks the go. Gold Salute & All American have both drawn well & come into the race via the strong form of the Emirate Stakes having been split by Cox Plate winner So You Think. Also drawn well (& in form) Tarzi & Elliotto. Another drawn well & capable, Famous Roman.
|
I like Grand Nirvana ahead of Lambton Castle and Largo Lad. Good luck with your investments!
|
Great days racing on a perfect surface that wasn't too hard. Apparently instructions to Rawiller on Sniper's Bullet was 'go for home at the 600m' and thats exactly what he did. Of the others Lords Ransom is bang on target for the 2400m Perth Cup.
|
Yeah well deserved win to Sniper’s Bullet after running 2nd to Gilded Venom in last year’s race. Makes you wonder (again) what Gilded Venom might have gone on to do, had he not been put-down earlier this year.
And agree schonegg, top effort Lords Ransom. Adam Durrant must be really looking forward to the Cup, another of his, Ma Chienne, was pretty impressive as well on Saturday. |

In the Winterbottom, they'll all be hoping Waratah's Secret stops over the last 100m. That'll depend on any early pressure but Revoltion and Kid Choisir will probably not create any problems. Tips:
R2 Awesome Force is ok odds at $5. Settle just off them early. R5 Great Destiny is fitter and should go close. Doyoudare for multiples. R7 the Aquanita Stakes, big early backing has for Ranger. I reckon God Has Spoken eachway should hit the board. |

Ok Hat, but nothing crash hot. From the day I think we saw the Perth sprinters a rung below the eastern staters. A super win to Ortensia.
Good story about Mark Reed. Tried to sell Esroh for 10k during the week, no takers, so ran it yesterday and won picking up 32.5k! That was after his drive Friday night at Gloucester Park winning the Golden Nugget on Bonavista Bay! |

A couple of Lays for today.
R5 4 Ma Chienne ($3.9) - She's flying, but with another 2kg over 2400m and settle near last, if you're a bookie you've gotta Lay. R6 2 Sniper's Bullet ($6.5) - There are some query runners in this that anyone of them could deliver the knockout blow. |
Whoa, bad result in the Kingston Classic. A cool ride from Oliver behind a tearaway leader made for a great win.
From other races Inarticulate was very unlucky, but looks like its off for a spell. From Race 3 Impatient Times won eased down and looks a star in the making. |
Pike rode a winner at last

Did little Rogan Josh, a few that settled in back half didn't get into it. I wouldn't drop off yet though. The Cup's his target, back to Handicap conditions and the right distance.
He'll have one more run before then so that will tell us more. |
I'm sticking, schonegg. Caught wide for a lot of the race, so run not that bad. Another good run by Ma Chienne, although beaten into 2nd place.
|
Surely there's money to be made at Ascot today with Coiled Spring and Almighty Runner?

Super party! If you took Topfluc as you normally do you'd be even happier, for both races it was clearly better than Best Tote :) |
sure did ,Top Fluc $2 +$2.70c + Best Tote/ SP race 6 no 1 @5-1, a bumper day,
If only we could do that "EVERY" day! |
Not quite as confident as the other day (or is it that I'm afraid of egg on my face?) anyway I do like the look of Pete The Profiler in the last, and Zuboyne (race 4) + Tarzi (race 6) both EW, see how we go!
|
Ah yes, the forum egg :)
R3 the St.Leger is disappointing in numbers. All are having their first go at the distance, and a couple have had some hard recent racing. Tipping Thorn Dancer to reel in the leader. R4 Almohad is suited and ready to win. Party's tip Zuboyne ran a cracker last time. R5 Laying Watson's Bay at $6.5, should find this tougher than recent wins. R6 the A J Scahill Stakes is a real lottery. Pro Art should lead, favorite Black In Time will be last early. For a place bet, Grand Nirvana may settle behind the leader, and has every chance to run in the first 3. Good luck! |
