Belmont guesses

Race 1 - very average stayers race where most can win, save your money.
Race 2 - Lay Hot Tamale. She's in great form but should get more pressure in this.
Race 3 - raps are big for Mabel Grace to lead throughout or boxseat. For multiples include Eternal Power.
Race 4 - Dino Mak eachway at $8.
Race 8 - Jeverre in Multiples. From barrier 16 she will be back and wide with a trail and relying on some luck but she'll run on strongly late.

..yeah..just got there schonegg..but was a gutsy effort..& agree..top ride harvey..taking the sit early..from a wide barrier..

Received a badly-cut heel during that check, may be sent back to the paddock to be prepared for the Ascot summer carnival.

Belmont Saturday

Rail in True position which is the first time this season. The earlier races might be better nearer the fence.

R2) Best chance for Manila I Scream to breakthrough and can't see it missing the place. Galaxy Queen can also win. Lay Zuboyne.

R5) I'm Elite has been a hype horse and had a good Trial win, just not sure from that bad barrier if he can cross the field easily. Go Buster racing over his best distance should go into Multiples.

R7) Like most weeks another very tough Open class field. Roman Time will get a glorious run just off the speed. Very hard to beat. Broadway Belle into the Multiples.

Scenic Blast is due to have his second American start in a Grade One race over 1200m at Del Mar, California this weekend. Good luck to connections, hope he does well.

MyHatMyCoat 4th August 2010 02:33 PM

Was a good run, jake. Raced behind the leader (& eventual winner). Lost a bit of ground before the turn. Got going again, finished off gamely. Will be better for the run. They ran 1.09.21 for the 1200.

Rogan Josh 5th August 2010 04:53 PM

Early days but hasn't Rose looked good winning her only 2 starts
Was particularly impressed with yesterday's win

Rogan Josh 9th August 2010 07:44 AM

Casper Cowboy looked good in the Newmarket. Been around for a while. Rejuvenated? Actually thought he had retired.

jake 9th August 2010 09:10 AM

newmarket

a lot of money lost..for your eyes only!..

agree with trainer..treated harshly at the weights..
eg..met shock value 3.5kg worse..beaten 2.75len..by that horse..last they met..

Sands 11th August 2010 08:34 PM

Just checking the results Belmont races today
Anyone know why the 4th was abandoned?

Yeah a late bloomer RJ, 5-Y-O, 2 race starts for 2 wins. A half-sister to El Presidente. Trained by Bruce Watkins, who trained El Presidente, Danny Beau & Charlie Beau. Might be off for a spell now & back for the fillies and mares races this summer.

Rogan Josh 14th August 2010 12:21 PM

Didn't know she is a half-sister to El Presidente, even better! Thanks Hat.

Rogan Josh 15th August 2010 08:50 PM

What's the story with King Kool Kat guys? 7 years-old. Was 1 win from 50 starts. Just completed a hat-trick of wins since resuming from a spell.

Race was called-off whilst in progress, Sands. Tractor towing starting-stalls away crashed into the outside fence up near the turn into the straight. Probably could have let the race finish imo but taking no chances I guess.
