Smoko finished 2nd behind Proceedwithcaution. That horse pretty handy, winner 7 of 14 career starts. Likely Smoko will defend his Listed Belmont Newmarket title first-up on August 8, depending how he pulled-up after the trial.

Nothing wrong with Smoko's run in the Belmont Newmarket yesterday. Small but select field, Smoko led them up until he ran out of puff, finishing 3rd. Hopefully no harm done.
