Is there a U.S. bookie that bets on Aust racing or is that illegal? Inother words are you betting with an Australian Agencie / bookie or someone over there. WAsnt that tougher question was it ! :)

its only illegal to bet offshore.

i bet through YOUBET.COM. which bets into a u.s./aussie pool.

King Cugat 11th January 2008 05:33 PM

how do you find it in relation to prices here?

most of the time they are pretty close on the win end but i could never get used to your place payouts. we have seperate pools for 2nd placing and third placing. your place pays are pretty close to our show payout. you can see below the big difference in 2nd placing payouts compared to aussie place payouts.

u.s. payouts are to the $2.

there are alot of people up hear that are clueless capping australia so i get my share of big payouts. i also compare pre race odds off TAB nd compare it to whats being played or not being played in the u.s.

King Cugat 11th January 2008 05:58 PM

You know Phar

When i first played with Betfair i used to muck around with US racing in the morning. I watched it live via an internet site which is on the tip of my tongue >> perahps espnracing.com or links off that site. I would always notice the place and show on the tote prices paying more then $2. I understand the show and place etc etc difference but never really ventured into why it was always better then evens. For a few days it did cross my mind that it runs on $2. Now i know!
Can you bet for only 1st and 2nd on that site? or is it just top 3 unlike US racing

never been on betfair and i think espnracing.com is just free video given out by youbet.com. All u.s. racing is wps but i do have friends that bet off shore on some aussie sites and play the even, i guess thats your placings down under.

King Cugat 11th January 2008 06:20 PM

Is it impossible to All up an entire meeting for the place? A few reds and $100 from the slush fund shall see out my evening :) !

Aspire $100 @ $1.70 = $170
Jose Amigo $170 @ $1.70 = $289

next race looks tough :(

King Cugat 11th January 2008 06:36 PM

mmmmm. horses trying to go 4 runs in career w/out a break>> i did like the value in La Viscomtessa too, thats a shame.

Will have to go with safety first with the 3rd up who understands the course i spose despite the blows over Rockabaa the danger

Aspire $100 @ $1.70 = $170
Jose Amigo $170 @ $1.70 = $289
Causeway Queen $289 @

King Cugat 11th January 2008 06:50 PM

humph....there you go, he won that well. The 3rd horse La Viscomtessa $2.40 the place....went well in the end << pretty much claimed its metro runs for life spot with that effort. Handy horse for the owners.

Aspire $100 @ $1.70 = $170
Jose Amigo $170 @ $1.70 = $289
Causeway Queen $289 @ $1.50 = $433.50

King Cugat 11th January 2008 07:15 PM

Well, that race has me beat. I guess we should push on
however: i'm not a complete mug when entering this typr of race.
Im taking my $100 back for a start. Then im taking $50 for my effort and to buy another bottle of Pyrus.
Leaves me with $283.50

As im woosing it out im going to go a long shot

Aspire $100 @ $1.70 = $170
Jose Amigo $170 @ $1.70 = $289
Causeway Queen $289 @ $1.50 = $433.50
Sky Dance $283.50 @

King Cugat 11th January 2008 07:20 PM

Aspire $100 @ $1.70 = $170
Jose Amigo $170 @ $1.70 = $289
Causeway Queen $289 @ $1.50 = $433.50
Sky Dance $283.50 @ $0

Well a bottle of Pyrus to the cabinet, $100 back in my slush and a wee bit of fun for a chance to win a diamond. Tough race, too good for me.

Goodnight & good luck Saturday :)

King Cugat 11th January 2008 07:39 PM

wish this next one coming up was race 4. i like baby Esme. Banked my Pyrus. im out, but will listen to victory as i dose off.

King Cugat 11th January 2008 07:57 PM

3rd & $2.10 the place....makes ya cry : (

King Cugat 11th January 2008 08:05 PM

Well $1.70. $1.70, $1.50, miss, $2.10 has the better of me. Still out[no betting] so i can afford to bet with Pengos orange money and go with the risk horse who hasnt run for 430 days in Cenotaph. Has the blows & a risk but full of class.

King Cugat 11th January 2008 08:19 PM

2nd $2.30 the place. Wheres the tissues.

If we didnt have that race that had me beat & scared with the form guide it would be some all up.

Aspire $100 @ $1.70 = $170
Jose Amigo $170 @ $1.70 = $289
Causeway Queen $289 @ $1.50 = $433.50
Baby Esme $433.50 @ $2.10 = $910.35
Cenotaph $910.35 @ $2.30 = $2093.80

King Cugat 11th January 2008 08:30 PM

2 races to go and another each way the field race = tough
something about Mikumi that i keep coming back to. Perhaps the feeling its the up and comer amongst them, Dunno.
Lets whack our $2093 on it and watch it from the bar on the closed circuit.
Ive only got half a glass left after another go at the bottle. Good timing will see this one lose, but im hoping to buy Mayfair off Pengo so i need to push on.

King Cugat 11th January 2008 08:49 PM

no good but that was fun. In reality i knew when i was beat coming into the 4th and left it alone (well took out what i was happy with knowing it didnt look good )
The Obvious coming out here is......
