Sorry mate, you had a scratching (Regal Castanea) and you didn't include any reserve selections to replace it with. Now, if this was any other type of competition, I'd just simply give you your $20 back. But this comp is about out-tipping your opponent, and in all fairness, I couldn't credit you with a win today when none of your tips actually won any money.

So, that's why it's important to list a couple of reserve selections if you can. Either that or come on here on Saturday and make the necessary changes. If people don't do that, then I'm afraid I can't give them any points for scratched horses.

Sorry about that.

Even if I included reserve selections and they lost, I still wouldn't have won would I? Just a point for a draw?

Sportz 13th September 2008 10:26 PM

No, you wouldn't have won in that case. But I was just explaining why I couldn't give you 20 points for the scratched horse. If I'd done that, it would have meant that you beat Raw Instinct 20-0, and that would have hardly been fair seeing as none of your selections were successful.

And for those same reasons, neither tipster actually gets a competition point if there's a 0-0 draw. Your selections must actually get a return of some sort before you get a point.

Come on the VIC Team we need to lift! Crackone is trying valiantly but needs help. Which of us is going to step and help Crackone?

I'm sick and tired of playing SAFE and watching all the "Good Things" have an off day! I'm having so many nil all draws that I should play Soccer!!

I think we need to tip with a bit of flair and show these NSW and QLD opponents we are the BEST State!

Let's draw the line in the sand and make this weekend a great one for the Big V.

Sportz 19th September 2008 05:23 PM

Actually, you've had 5 wins, 3 losses and a 0-0 draw. Good luck this week.

But not too much luck. ;)
