I agree. Won very well by 2 1/4 lengths. Now in form could continue
on with it. Will be up to a class 4 now , but worth following in a race
around 1600m.

Trials for Belmont, Monday 17/7/2006 - Track: Good

The fastest heat of the day was run by Exotic Nights nosing out Fire From Ice. The Key Business filly ran 59:75 for the 1000M.

The heat I was most interested in was the last. The unbeaten 3YO colt Desiarnez won hard held. This bloke looks set to continue on from where he left off!

Belmont Today....

Race 7 sees the WA debut of former Victorian galloper Costa Verde. The lightly raced 6YO gelding has won 4 from 13 starts. Is better suited over a middle distance but could surprise fresh.

I've backed Dancrist (Belmont R8 today) past couple of starts. Not won but been placed. Hoping he can get back in the winners stall courtesy the drop back in distance.

I remember backing Costa Verde years ago! Thought he had retired. Lots of leg probs. Interesting to see how he holds up. At least this time of year no hard tracks. Best of luck to connections!
