Has anyone played around with Fibonacci numbers?

Hi guys.

Has anyone tried using these as part of a system? They might also work in trying to determine winning and losing streaks.

It can work if you can pick winners , like all staking plans.
It`s always the dreaded run of out that always kill us in the long run.
If one was to use it , it would have longer legs if one had a seperate bank for each venue one is targeting for the day, & stopping at each venue once a profit is reached.
If one or more venues fall over on the day write the loss off , dont chase losses on to the next day.

For those who dont know how this works ,it goes something like this (there are several versions of this but this maybe the safest)

1,1,1/ We start by writing this down, underneath one another .
We add the 1st No. to the last No. as shown above , in this case 1+1=2
If it loses , we add 2 to the sequence which now looks like 1112.
1+2=3
Sequence now looks like 11123
If we strike a winner at evens e.g. 1/1 ($2.00) we place a line through the 3 & the 1.
The sequence now looks like 112
1=2=3 outlay
If another winner at evens.
We are now in front.

We always delete one number from the first & last number in the sequence if 1/1 Odds .
2/1 Odds ($3.00) we delete 2 numbers from first & last numbers in the sequence.
3/1 ($4.00) we deduct 3 numbers from first & last part of the sequence.Ect

Whenever we are left with one number left or less, we should be in profit

The other variations can look like 112 or 123 ect .It does`nt matter .
It`s the sequence that makes it work.
It`s mathematicly very clever, originally used on roulett, to target even money payouts.

Be carefull with it because it can increase dramaticly with a long run of outs , so one must have a cut off point say 15 bets before one calls it quits & start fron the beginning again.

Cheers.

Scoring Classes & Finishes

Hi,
From my experience the sequence is best applied in Handicapping, that is scoring Classes & Finishes and not in Wagering, the lack of detail is because this is part of my "EDGE", now that is a real tip.

The author would like to thank Prof. Myles Harding for developing a software routine for automatically extracting Totaliser information from www.tabcorp.com.au.

Wonder what Tabcorp would have to say about the breach of their copyright?

1. The research is fundamentally flawed, as assumptions have been made comparing apples with oranges.

2. The amount of data is not even close to being enough to draw any conclusions.

3. Field size has not been taken into account - of course greyhound win pool/place pool ratios will be different because of small fields.

4. The human element (jockey/driver) has nothing to do with the resultant data, different types of punters bet on the dogs on a Thursday night, than bet on a Saturday race day.

5. Box draw has replaced jockey or driver with the same result.

The illustration of the formula is fine though.
