Top Fluc + min. price stipulation
KV. and anyone else interested, I contacted IAS, and they will indeed accept bets at Top Fluctuation with a minimum price stipulation, great stuff if you're betting ratings (or anything else) to prices.
Just for the uninitiated this means that you could place a bet something like this: (example only) Saturday 17th PR-5-3 Scenic Assault $100 to win at Top Fluc, (minimum price accepted =$1.80) So you were on as the top Fluc was $3 (win or lose of course) If the Top Fluc had been say $1.75, your bet would ahave been void, (win or lose) |
That sounds great PP. So what, we just have to ask them? I don't think it's a standard option.

great news Partypooper
This is indeed great news..be wonderful if we could do it online..i suspect this feature is for phone bettors only...
I assume the top fluct is during the last 30 minutes of betting? |
KV, presume it's only by phone, didn't ask a person they just e-mailed me the rules.
W924, mmmm, not sure about the last 30 mins iether they just said Top Official Fluctuation, will try and find out though. |
Hi PP, I'll be interested to know..there are so many different types of top fluctuations out there in betting land today...
Thanks again . |
I like the minimum price rule....i work most weekends but like to have a bet....my top rated 5 horses have a 75% win strike but i need to dump the lower paying ones to make a profit...i would like to set a price min at $4
|
Shaun, same with me, my business keeps me very busy un til about 2-3pm Saturday, so it's an ideal way of obtaining the best price available, perfect for horses up to about 5-1 pre-post so I'm told. Though I'm a bit wary now about this info that the top fluc can vary, does anyone know about this?
|
I think in the long run the ups and downs of top Fluctuation would be rewarded in knowing you are not putting bets on horses at lower prices....i think the only problem is that if you start winning with IAS i think your account would be redtricted or barred
|
Shaun, I have no experience with IAS, but they advertise that they DO NOT close winning accounts, have you any info to the contrary??
|
Non mate....just thought thats what they all do....i know a couple that have done this....but can't say IAS is one of them...if they are not....all the better for us profesionals
|
Phew glad to hear that, although my stakes will have to increase about 5 fold b4 I call myself a "PRO" hee hee!
|
SportOdds (CentreBet) have a similar service called name your price on selected meetings & it can be done online.
|
'Variable' Top Fluc. Party ? I don't understand that. Top Fluc. is ...er ...Top Fluc. Isn't it?
IAS dosn't close winning accounts, but they will restrict the amount you can bet to the point that forces you to bet ealsewhere. |
Crash, that's what I thought mate, but W924 reckons there are "different" top flucs.??????
|
We have been promoting IAS for years on our sites.
You can bet TF (official top fluctuation from the bookmakers' betting ring) and give a minimum price needed for each bet. To go to the IAS website click here. |
"Crash, that's what I thought mate, but W924 reckons there are "different" top flucs.??????" Perhaps I should clarify..for which period of betting are the top flucs offered in this case? Is it a. during the last 10-15 minutes of betting? b. from the moment the ring opens at the course on raceday, i.e the entire duration of betting activity (approx 30 minutes) for that particular race? c some other time frame? I am sure I have seen different versions of top flucs around the traps...just wanted to clarify. Many Thanks |
I imagine they would be referring to the top fluctuation of their own fixed price odds which differ from site to site (I stress, I'm only guessing here). From what I remembered when I was comparing them Sportingbet usually finished with slightly better prices at the end of betting but IAS were a bit more adventurous with their opening prices. Not a great deal of difference between them though.

w924, glad you brought that one up mate as I hadn't thought of differing TF's because of time frames.
