Okay, here we go. Please read the rules carefully as there is one big change to the rules this year...

AUTUMN TIPPING COMP 2021

Here's how the comp works. We will all be tipping against each other for 8 weeks from this Saturday, Feb 6, through to Mar 27. Then at the completion of those 8 weeks, the top 4 tipsters will fight it out in a final series conducted on Apr 3 & Apr 10.

RULES

1. Of the 8 weeks during the preliminary rounds, you must tip on at least 6 of them. You are allowed to miss 2 weeks. No more. People will have to start tipping by Feb 20 or they miss out.

2. You can post anywhere between 3 and 15 selections each week.

3. You can bet anywhere between $100 and $500 each week. The leading tipsters are judged on % profit, not the total amount of profit. So betting more overall won't give you a better chance. But you can change the amount you bet from week to week depending on your confidence.

4. You can tip at any Australian or New Zealand TAB gallops meeting on Saturdays.

5. On each selection, you can bet any of the following amounts:
$5 ew
$10 win
$10 ew
$20 win
$15 ew
$30 win
$20 ew
$40 win
$25 ew
$50 win

6. During the 8 weeks, you have 2 "jokers" that you can use ONLY on group 1 races. This means if it's a group 1 race in either Australia or NZ, you can have a $100 bet, either $100 win or $50 ew. Remember, you get just 2 of them, so use them wisely.

7. Calculating your return: I will be using the closing tote and fixed odds prices on the Qld Tab and you will get whichever is the highest.
