WET TRACKERS

With the wet weather coming up thought I’d start a thread where you can post any standout (in your opinion) wet track chances for the day.

I’ve got 2 today – both (obviously) at Mornington.

R6 No. 4 RED ALI – good strike rate Yet to win this track but place 2 from 3 Solid wet track form

R7 No. 6 VIDEO STAR – should be EW odds Fitter for 2 runs back Distance suits and again solid wet track form

Mornington R2 #2 The Freeloader.

Should be called The Freestyler it's that much of a swimmer.

Can I ask what you based that assessment on, Duritz? It had had just one start on a wet track for a 2 length 2nd in a Mornington maiden, not exactly the sort of form that suggests great wet tracker.

(6) VIC BY THE JUG looks a strong hope.
VIC BY THE JUG track:16 5-1-2 trck-dist:11 4-1-0
Goes well wet tracks!

Sportz - I have watched all his runs. He's a wet tracker.

His ratings, and the state of the track he achieved them on, are as follows:

17/3/2006 77 (good)
5/3/2006 79 (good)
27/01/2006 90 (heavy)
1/1/2006 84 (dead)
18/12/2005 79 (dead)

and here's his video comment from that heavy run, his only decent run:

"fairly handy trail 3L off even tempo, round 4 wide turn, outpaced by winner 200 but battled it out well in the bog. Thrashed rest."

He may not have placed today, but he's a wet tracker.

Tried to lead all the way... fought back extra well (to run 2nd) after being headed by both the winner & third horse in the straight... $3.40 place unitab....

Just testing something here: fol???s:

Yeah it happened again - see the three ??? in the word above? That word is supposed to be f-o-l-l-o-w-s but it's blotting three of the letters out. Anyone know why?

NEW ZEALAND YR5

Do like (2) Sir Slick & (3) All's Well in the Te Rapa Open Handicap.
Sir Slick is a multiple Group winner / placegetter who loves the slow, All's Well to be ridden by Lisa Cropp performs well fresh and also loves the slow.

THE PHANTOM 30th April 2006 01:57 PM

Horsham 5 no. 4 BALLET BELLE loves the wet & should be too good for these ;)
