Melbourne Cup

Thought I would post my Cup fancies.

Undoubtedly the deserved favourite is Hartnell. I believe that he was ridden too close to the speed in the Cox plate when they went out +16 lengths above PAR for the first section of the race to the 600m. Providing that the horse has taken no harm from that race and they ride the horse more patiently today the race is as good as over I believe. Would be surprised if he isn't well supported today.

If Hartnell fails then the race is a wide open affair. I am opposing Jameka as I don't feel she can run out a strong 3200m. The best long shot in the race for mine is Almandin who has been very well supported since I tipped her on Radio TAB (QLD) on Sunday. Next best for mine would be Oceanographer but the race is wide open from this point.
