Been there done that! I just glanced at some old speed maps, R8 Taree 16/04/2013, 1000m BM70 "Al Be Swift" rated the last backmarker WON. It drew barrier 2.
Cheers RP

Yep.Its a good one overall. There are 1 or 2 occasions during the year when it loses though. But by gee just about every other horse in the race must be a Backmarker too.
And we,re avoiding those type of races like the plague.

Cheers

[QUOTE=darkydog2002]LAY the Fav in 1000M races if its a Backmarker.

Racing and sport have around a 25% accuracy rate

Middle Pages of Sportsman for the Backmarkers /On pace Runners.

You would be surprised how much essential information is contained there.

Betting in running gives you a 100% accurate speed map.

Indeed.

You laying or backing in running SpeedyBen?

Been having a bit of fun laying mid priced runners before the jump & being ready to back them to roughly close out the liability if they are looking a winning chance at around the 600-400.

I would rather put my bets on in the morning and do something else on my weekends rather than sit in front a TV

I do both, stugots. I offer the same short price on each horse in a race and try to remove the offer while the result is still a guess if nobody has taken the bait. I also back leaders in running if they look to be going comfortably. Favourites that lead are a sure source of income overall.
I think your method above is a good one. I find with harness racing it is a good ploy to lay badly drawn second or third favs and attempt to green up when they drift a point or so in the run.
