I think the winners of the two traditional Guineas lead up races the Fairetha and the Burgess Queen, namely Manjar and Snacking, are going to fight out the Guineas.
They each ran almost identical races from widish draws and their times were very similar. Manjar clocked 1:23:16 (34:33), Snacking clocked 1:23:13 (34:25)
Weights will favour Snacking in the Guineas. Manjar will drop from 56.5kgs to 56kg whilst Snacking will drop from 56kg to 53.5kg.
They’ve met just the once so far, in the Belgravia a couple of weeks ago. Manjar won carrying 54.5kg coming from last, Snacking carried 56kg and was beaten 2.25lens but had excuses as she had difficulty obtaining a clear passage in the straight and was held up for the majority of the last run home.
And the trainers of both horses have previously had WA Guineas winners. Trevor Andrews won with The Right Money in 2002 and George Daly won with Vows in 1991 and again in 2003 with River Mist.
Should be a great race and at this point in time I’m leaning towards Snacking to just pip her male counterpart Manjar.

What about the two 3YOs that went east - Imaginaire and stable mate Destiny's Day. Assume they are both back in the west by now and if okay would make sense to run either or both in the WA Guineas
