Okay, I know everyone eagerly awaits my latest winning system, so here it is, I'll receive plaudits at the end.

1. Choose a meeting which has an "e" in the name (thus BrisbanE, SydnEy, MElbournE, AdElaidE all apply)
2. Select the first race, it is often called race 1, unless you are at a country track where they just yell "line 'em up".
3. Select the topweight (it's usually number 1, but there can be scratchings)
4. That's your selection for race 1. The same rules apply for the remaining races.

Staking:
Race 1 - 10 units
If it wins, congratulate yourself and head to the bar.
If it loses, do this. Double your previous bet and then add a single unit extra, this will ensure you turn a profit when you strike a winner.
If you were completely hopeless and didn't get a winner on race 1, then your series of bets might look like this.

10L,21L,43L,87L,175L,351L,703L,1407L

As you can see, you only need 2797 units to get started, with your original bet being 0.36% of your bank. If you have more than 8 outs, I'm afraid this game really isn't for you. How about a spelling contest?
