Pantenny over from the east an unknown factor. Bella Pia and Translate do look the best of the locals.

A close finish with Pantenny just beating Translate, Translate I thought was the better run..Bella Pia well beaten..must have excuses..the run too bad to be true..

The pontiff is back home and will pilot the fav Vain Crusader. Didn't have the best of luck in the Belgravia Stakes, the extra 200m Tues will suit. Rich Ken ran on nicely same race, finished just behind Vain Crusader. From a good barrier Lacerate might run a cheeky race. Was ridden off the pace last start over the 1400 and did battle on well, drops 1.5kg on that run. Oroya Gold has still to find his very good 2YO form and the Paula Wagg trained Real Cheeky not hopeless.

Vain Crusader most impressive. Best runs beaten brigade Kenviel & Guyno..

on the day I made a tiny profit but translate cost me very, very dearly, good to her that I nearly made it, as I missed the race

Thumbs up Trials for Belmont, Monday 6/11/2006 - Track: Good

Unraced 3YO gelding Golden Linc looked good in winning the fastest heat of the day. Ridden by Alana Sansom the son of Medal Of Honor won his heat easily.

Hartleys Dream also impressed in taking out the open heat, winning easily from handy types Rescuer, Cape North and Mr Sandgroper.
