Default last start winner

This might be worth a bit of consideration...

1. Selection must have won its last start

2. Selection is horse with the least number of days since its last start

3. If more than one horse is equal, discard the race

Wink

Looks like a variation to a system already posted in the Horse Race Betting Systems forum

Mike367,,are you looking at potentially one bet per day or per meeting or each race which qualifies?

Right nothing new then, I didn't mean to pinch anyones idea, haha.

I'm just playing with this right now, using it as a first selection process. Then I'll look at the usual things as in, barrier, weight, jockey, won at this distance in these conditions.
Then weigh up the pros and cons to make a decision to back it or not.

With all my betting days (mainly Sat) I stop at 20% win or 10% loss.

So for today the base selections were:

Sandown
R2#3 won
R5#1 unplaced
R7#4 unplaced

with the unplaced selections, both were drawn wide with a big weight and had an apprentice on board, so I probably wouldn't have backed them.

While R2 #3 was drawn wide it the same jockey as the last run, so it looked the best bet.

I'm posting after the fact as I work all day and cant post pre race.

I will post earlier on Sat

Cheers

Here is a old one but the author confined it to 2 YO.

Top Wt

Fav

Won LS

Same Distance

Same Jockey

Probably best confined to Inside Barriers

On Pace Runers.

Cheers.

POT .... not worth the effort.

Reminds me a bit of "laying" at long odds. It's fine until you run into a "data-clump" of several outs. :-)
