Default 6 Bet Money Management Plan

Here is a strong money managment plan that pulls back on a bad run & moves forward on a god run.

Rules
Using a 100 unit bank., divide by 100
1st bet 1 unit
After 6 bets, win or lose, divide bank by 100
Keep doing this after every 6th bet before dividing by 100 again.

Example
1000 bank/ 100= 10 for next 6 bets
If say all lose -60
940 bank/ 100= 9.40 for next 6 bets ect

The reason we divide after 6 bets is that most punters can average 1 winner in 6 bets .
It keeps the money management under control which many good horse selectors , fail to do.
It also keeps your judgment a lot clearer on a bad run, because you know what your going to do after every 6th bet.

If you can pick winners , you will make money.
If you can't pick winners, on the day, then your bank will live to fight another day & with lot less stress , which is very important to a punter, so that his judgment is less clouded.in the field of battle..
This could appeal to those who feel that they want to remove that financial angst they feel, , when things aren't going their way., especially when dealing with big bets.

Try it out.

Seems to make sense Bhagwan, though I have always said the acid test is level stakes, but like you say the mental strain can get to you, probably why I previously concentrated on place betting.

Though just recently I've been doing much more win betting and Dutching. Got a couple of plans that are well in front, so will keep going as long as they do.

Glad to see you are still interested in the nags!

Mornin' Bhagwan, haven't seen you for ages :-)

Had a quiet look at your proposition and find it difficult to support.

I took 12,000+ Saturday Metro Faves, field 11 (the average), Prices $2 ... $6

Result: A WSR of 28.19% @ AvTab of $3.13. This instantly tells us that we need $3.55 just to break even (over time). Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle.

Aha sez me. Bhagwhan's Method needs to be trialled over a few months to look at the short term possibilities/trends.

So, off we go. I took 100 separate series of 6 bet Sat Metro Faves, Av 11 Field, Prices 1 @ $2.50, 2 @ $3.00, 1 @ $3.50, 1 @ $4.00, and 1 @ $6.00.
I played all of the combinations of winners and losers using a Monte Carlo simulation.

At a 33% Win Strike Rate you'll get very close to breaking even.
At a 50% Win Strike Rate you'll probably make a SMALL profit.

Ohhhhhh ...... it doesn't matter if you shove in a few conveyances at $25, the end result is the same.

It's got ************ all to do with your skill. It's the 18-20% TAB/Bookie RIPOFF that kills the game.

If one uses Betfare the book takeout is 5-6% plus 5% com on winnings, instead of the TAB 18.5%

This is a money management plan based around level stakes betting.
If you r good at separating 2 horses, then you can do well.
By targeting the 3rd & 4th favs or 2nd & 3rd favs or 2nd & 3rd tipster selections
Then separate by selecting the one you feel can win
Eg. Back the one with the two best last two stats once added together or best Wt rating

Try & avoid odds-on fav races.

Smart punters do their research on past results.

Oh Bhags .............

"Then separate by selecting the one you feel can win"
That's exactly what every punter on God's earth is doing :-0

Here's a tiny separator for you to play with ......

Metro Sat, 80k horses
1100 - 1700 m.
LSBD <=1.0 len
DSLS <= 14

Shorten it down to the crunch of <=7 DSLS and it's a LSW and then the Relative Frequency gets up to 1.5.

"Then separate by selecting the one you feel can win"

Take care.
