Default "Horses & Courses" - anyone heard of this manual?

Hi there,

I recently received a letter in the mail inviting me to purchase a horse racing betting manual. It is called "Horses & Courses" and is by Paul M. Matthews. Obviously I am wary of anyone claiming they can win on "46 out of 52" race days so I was wondering if anyone out there has heard of the manual or the author or has in fact purchased the manual themselves.
I have done some serching on the net myself and have come up with nothing. Is this manual genuine and informative.....?

Thanks,
Gambo.

It's actually not bad for the price. Probably suited to beginners. Has a good and thorough good description of every track in Australia. The 46 out of 52 winning days comes from using a retrieval staking plan which I would stay away from. There's nothing earth shattering in the book, but for the price you can't really expect too much.

Just to go one step further from what Dan has said. The plan is based on backing every favourite in three states, quite an exercise.

The staking plan is a very aggressive target betting one where you divide the price of your favourite into your target. As the favourite will be a short price the amounts being required to wager can grow to astronomic proportions.

It is really quite unrealistic. Who wants to spend all day backing every favourite every ten minutes or so.

Hope that helps.
