Default New System test

Just thought I'd try my latest system out publicly, (that always is the acid test) Starting with $250 bank betting $10 win and $40 place never decreasing but increasing in proportion with the bank to the nearest whole $. Aim is to get to $1000, then re-evaluate. One selection per day.

So to days bet Geelong R8-9 Saffarian taking the $3.60 win and $1.73 place @ Bet 365. (9am WA time) lets see how we go....

Forgot to post to days selection, which was Tossilini in the first at Wangaratta, as it happened it was a late scratching so no harm done.

Party, odds on or near favs pay a lot better for the place on the tote at least 80% of the time. Money is shifted to horses unlikely to win but to place.

Phew, not easy off the back foot but at least we got one. So 10x40 @$2 and $1.30 returns =$72 so the bank stands @ $172 next bet stays at $10 for the win and $40 for the place.

Blackdog1, Most of the selections with this are pretty short but not all. One constant (with this particular method) is they are nearly all shorteners and with the research that I've done so far it would appear that taking "THE BEST" fixed odds on offer is better than best tote, also as a fair proportion of selections are not metro so best tote is not always available.

Also, if the fixed place was very short like $1.10c I would tend to bet @ Best Tote if available, in other words the Fixed price is not a fixed rule.
