Super 15 predictions-Week 1

1 Attachment(s)
For several years, I've been providing Super Rugby and soccer predictions. This year the private Rugby Union forum has been discontinued by the management, but I'm going to post Super 15 predictions just for fun.

Team ratings start where they left off at the end of last season. For the Rebels, I gave them the average rating of the bottom four teams. It will take about four weeks for ratings to settle out.

My system uses a "least squares" method to adjust ratings. Based on 15 seasons for English Premier League soccer, Serie A soccer, Rugby Union and American football, about a 13% profit on turnover is possible. Bet very cautiously for the first four weeks until ratings have settled.

Good luck,

Ray Stefani

Thanks Ray!

Thanks for continuing the good work, Ray. I've been following your tips for a few years and am pleased you've continued to post them this year.

Premier League

Hi Ray...in your description on your profile you have the following

"Based on 15 seasons for English Premier League soccer"

Where can we get your predictions on the EPL like we do for Super 15?

Thanks in advance
Shaun

EPL predictions

Hi to Thusrton and Sean!

I haven't done EPL predictions lately or I'd be sure to share with everone. I would need to analyze at least one past season to startup this season. If there is interest, I'll look into that. For now, let's have a go at Super 15!

Cheers,

Ray Stefani

Super 15 week 2 (more like 1.5)

After only two matches last week, here is the full slate of predictions for this week. Remember that it takes four full weeks to "prime the pump" for this year. I started the new Southern Kings from SA with last year's ratings for the Lions. We'll need to see if that's right. The bookies favour the Western Force. I have the S. Kings favoured based on last year's ratings for the Lions. We'll see what shakes out. The system makes the largest adjustment early in the season.

Good luck, and cheers,

Ray Stefani
