So Who's Market Is The Most Accurate?

Hi Guys,

I have a question for you. So which bookmakers market is the most accurate in terms of keeping those way unders that are real chances in a race?

I've been advised the best market is IAS and most accurate as they analyse and rate each rate that they provide fixed prices on.

Anyone offer any thoughts on other bookmaker markets and who's prices seem to be the most accurate chance of a horse winning?

Cheers! Mark

Betchoice is a very good site to look at.
This is the one I would favour.
It has all the TABs & Betfair prices to compare with as well.
Plus market percentage at the bottom.

Dynamic odds is another , but this can cost money per month (approx $25) & has its own pre-post market which can be handy.

It also has a ,follow the money section, which could also be handy for those who like to following the so-called, smart money trail.

IAS are good , but have been known to do a few clever things in the past that may be seen as being designed to confuse the market, maybe to their benefit, seeing that they are bookmakers an all.
For example , putting up a set of prices where all the prices cant necessarily had by the punter.

Just a tip:
If one wishes to get a truer feel for the market using TAB prices on the Betchoice site...
Click onto the TAB that has the most money invested for that race,
By clicking onto that TABs header , it will display that TABs runners in price order.

You will be able to compare all the various prices for that runner at a glance.
It's a beautiful thing.

Hi Markst02,
It's very easy to see to order of favoritism on most sites when checking back results, however as others have observed the order can and does change during the very last seconds in a live market and even after the event.
Even the site you mentioned in your post at times adjusts the order well after their timer indicates 0.00 seconds which is about 1 minute of betting to go.
My conclusion is to use one site and stick with it. However using a betting bot that can make the decision and get set in the very last seconds would be the most accurate I believe, but may well be on a different selection to some other sites on occasions, and this was observed by another poster today.

One method that has shown to work, if the prices fall our way, using Betchoice ,that picks heaps of winners, is this...

RULES
.Target the TAB that has the most funds for that race.

.Click onto its header the reveal market order by price.

.Target 9+ runner races.
This is done to chase value divs.

.Target the top 5 Horses 1 min till jump in that TAB market.

.Compare those top 5 prices with the shown Betfair price .

.Bet all those TAB top 5 , on Betfair where it is paying greater than what that TAB is showing, same amount on each.

.Don't bet races where there is an odds on shot in the race.

Some of the overs can be $20.00-40.00 on Betfair.

well there you go, as it happens Bhagwan I have been trialling the plan you just outlined for a couple of weeks now

got sick of seeing all those lovely overs coming in without my hard earned on

mixed results to date, some good days but also some very poor ones, will keep plugging away for a while

Sounds good Bhagwan, but when I look at Betchoice - I see the Fluc column, the Fixed Price Column and then the Mid - tote columns for Win And Place and the Tote +5% columns - How do I get to see the Tote that has the most funds per race - Do I go individually to each tote website ? or use Betfair or similar at the same time ?
Sorry if its a dumb question.

Hi Mancunian,
Sorry , I got myself confused with the Betfair site that allows us to do this exercise.
So.
Go to the Betfair site where it has its live price markets for Tote & other TABs
Then click onto that header & go from there.

Cheers.

A strong filter to hunt down the value races to target, using that value chasing method, is this...

VALUE RACE METHOD
Go to the Don Scott ratings for each race in Racingandsport.
It will be headed up as Worksheet in the general section when venue name is clicked.
Its also found using the 3rd icon across where those 4 icons are shown in the list of venues for the day.
Icon looks like a Worksheet.

Click onto the Done Scott Div header, this will put the prices into market order ,it makes things easier to look at, so we don't miss any.

Write down the Race No. where the Don Scott has his rated Fav at $4.00+
Don't take any notice of any particular selections , we only want it to define if its a value race or not.

We are assuming that the live market Fav in this race ,
(who ever that may be) will have a high chance of falling over for us,
therefore, creating value for us should some of our selections get up.

Once we know which are the value races to go for .
Go to the live market section on the same site.
Use that value method to make selections .Targeting the top 5 TAB Favs .

Bhagwan
Thanks for the idea of using Don Scott ratings to identify potential value races, using your suggestion 0f DS prices of $4 + for fields of 9 or more, the qualifying races today are :
Flem 2-3-4-5
Rand (Hvy) 3
Oak - 4-7-8
E.F - 6
Trar - 3-5
Gosf (Hvy) 2-3
Bath - 6
Kalg - 5
will have a look at top 5, using IAS, prepost mkts.
Cheers...Mancunian
