Hi Paul,
It's quite easy but looks complicated when I outline it step by step.

Step by step assuming you've done the search and have the results.
You should automatically now be in Browse Mode and not Find Mode.
Select the Last Run tab.
Go to File menu...Export Records.
A dialogue box will pop up for you to save the data and in what format.
If you have Excel 2007 or 2010, save the data as an xlsx and name it something.

Another dialogue box will pop up called Specify Field Order For Export.
On the right hand side bottom is a window called Field export order.
Click the Clear All button next to it, so the window is blank.
Select the fields you want to export by highlighting each field you want on the left hand side window and clicking the button Move.

For example you will probably want Last Run Date, Last Run Venue, Last Run Distance, Last Run Time, Last Run Going.

When you've moved all those fields to the second window, hit the Export button.
The Excel workbook is now saved under the name you gave it in the location you saved it.

Open the workbook, select the top left part of the sheet above the row 1 and to the left of column A. This will highlight the entire sheet.
Select Data Filter in 2010, or Data, Filter, AutoFilter in 2007 or less Excel.
You can now filter for each going and distance.

Let me know if you require any further help.
Once you get the hang of it, it will only take a minute or two.
