I am sure you are right! as long as no money changes hands it is quite legit. Otherwise we all would be sitting in jail!! Or did you never lend a book to a friend,relative etc. ?

Even if money changes hands it's OK - you can sell a second-hand book if you want. Copyright means you can't copy or reproduce work (in whole or part).
