Not trying to rain on your parade here boys but I went to that game last nite and Brisbane are pretty ordinary.
Nowher near as bad as Essendon mind you, but they're pretty average .
Brown was great though. I havent seen anyone dominate a game of AFL like that for a long long time. It brought back memories of the duck, plugger and ablett in full flight.
If it had of been Brissie playing any of the quick teams last nite instead of the grandpa's from Windy Hill they would have lost.

My opinion of Brisbane hasn't really changed much. Essendon are becoming Brisbane's bunnies (I mean that in a Cricket sense, Rabbitz ) so I guess last night's result was no great surprise.

I think Brisbane will be competitive for the rest of the year and there's a fair chance they'll get into the final 8, but I don't really give them a chance of getting much further than that. You're right. Brown was brilliant last night. My confidence was dented however when he spoke about going to Centre Half Forward. I'd really like to see him have a good go at Full Forward, at least for a few games. What do you think?

Talking

Was just looking at last years results for the Lions
Round 1 Won 80-78 Swans(Gabba),No Lynch
Round 2 Won 104-83 Crows (aami),No Lynch,Voss 7
Round 3 Won 137-77 Pies (Gabba),Lynch 7,Brown 3
Round 4 Lost 76-79 Eagles(Subiaco)No Lynch,Brown 2
Round 5 Won 110-62 Hawks (Gabba)Lynch 4,Brown 1
Round 6 Lost 91-92 Saints(Dome) Lynch 3,Brown 1,Ossie Jones Claytons Behind
Won 4 Lost 2,2005 won 2 Lost 4 (one by 2 pts, another after the siren)
Got smashed by west coast last year as well,so things aren't that different
Lynch Kicks 14 goals in 3 matches,Brown 6 in 4.
I reckon Brown at 23 yrs of age has got a huge future and up forward with Bradshaw will be dominant as well as with new players like sherman, merritt and brennan,Brisbane can't be written off yet.I reckon that bloke who had $50000 on brisbane @ $1.14 had a few nervous moments but hes safe now.
Cheers

You will make the 8, but CANT win the flag.
I am telling you that they are too slow.
They still are tough, hard and have a red hot go, BUT, the teams such as cats, saints west coast and even Demons who are also tough and hard will run them into the ground.

Hmmm, I think he's got a few more nervous moments coming up.
