When I provided the results of my Neuralmania System on Monday I inadvertantly listed all races instead of omitting those run on Slow and Heavy tracks, for rain-affected tracks had shown only a break-even result. Omitting these races,(46 of them) there were 153 races from 26 May to 27 June.

As previously advised, the Top Two selections that included Slow and Heavy tracks provided a POT of 56%, but by omitting these rain-affected races the POT increased to 71%. The Top Four selections had a POT of 18% but by also omitting S and H races the POT increased to 23%. Place betting on the Top selection slightly improved both the strike-rate and POT. Since Monday 28, I have also been looking at the Second Top selection for a Place as it has had a good strike rate over the 153 races. I am no longer monitoring Slow and Heavy tracks.

Very interesting Michael.
I dabble a bit myself but do not change the settings. Are you using standard settings or something you have devised.
I check out various factors(days ,barriers etc) then apply first and second neurals at standard settings. I am keeping ahead of the game this way.
Cheers.

Hi, Exandex.

It's good to see that you are winning with the neurals.

I've tried many systems with them but they always crash. Neuralmania has been the only one that has performed for more than a few weeks, in fact it has been providing constant winnings. But that is no guarantee it will continue to be successful.

I use my own settings. I omit those that I deem to be "opinion" categories; such as form, etc, as these can be a matter of opinion. For example, there was a race where Zac Purton rode at some obscure TAB meeting, but because he did not have a track record (excuse the pun) at that particular track, the Jockey Category in the neurals allocated him very few points - he won the race.

Have you tried working backwards. From a winner to the neural??I mean adjusting the settings to make a known winner your first or second rated horse. Then using those settings for future predictions.Nothing is failsafe,, but it has some merit.

Hi, Syllabus23.

Yes, I tried that method a long time ago. I used many settings that had the winner on top, but unfortunately they all crashed.

Hi, Breadman.
I don't want to list the selections yet. They might fail, and somone could lose on them. I'd like to be able to say that after a certain amount (alot) of races the system(s) is showing ongoing success - and to bet them at your risk. I've got a couple other systems I'm currently looking at - it's good fun testing them.

Comment:
NEURALS are not bad but as you see you can win and loose.
In my opinion it's a very good tool.
Systems based on past performance never win.
NOTE:
Today most of certain Favorites Lost as usual.

Happy punting.
