Default TABs 'n' Totes

Question 1:

Can somebody please tell me how many SEPARATE TABs there are? As I understand it WA TAB merges with NSW (and others?) for Win/Place and Trifectas but is seperated for Quinella/Exacta. Additionally, NSW and QLD seem to be the same (TabOnline).

I did not know there was a SA TAB until today -- but, sure enough, it is TABOnline also. So really that constitutes a single TAB for four states (NT, SA, NSW, QLD).

I know there was an ACT TAB but don't know if this is connected to any of the others.

Does anyone have a handle on how many individual Totes there really are and which pools are merged for the various TABs? A definitive checklist of Tote by Pool would be terrific. ;~)

Question 2:

Can anyone using UniTab's NetPro system tell me if I can use their Batch bet files with a single bet as if I was posting a bet interactively (as I can via WA TAB)?

Apparently one can create a batch file and place it in a nominated directory and NetPro will automatically pick it up and post it to the nominated Tote. Is anyone using this facility and, if so, can they tell me if it is quick enough to use it to post a bet on Start time (pseudo-interactively)?

Not right across what the most recent union between NSW TAB and Super TAB is.

But prior to last week end there were three.

SuperTAB - Western Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and the ACT.

TABONLINE or UNITAB - Queensland and South Australia

NSWTAB - New South Wales.

From what I could see last weekend NSW and SUPERTAB were still separate pools.

Reckon that is pretty close to it.

Thanks MG. I want to expand my bets without kyboshing the pool. This is pretty easily done with small pools. A $5 bet at 50:1 in a $500 pool reduces the odds to about 33:1.

And don't forget Austote. (win only - no exotics) A survey of last weekend's racing showed that Austote paid top divs on about 50% of the runners across eight meetings. The remaining 50% was evenly distributed between the other three totes. (NSW 18% VIC 16% QLD 16%)

Interestingly, for seven of the eight meetings, the 'home Tab' bet top 'odds' about the least number of runners for that meeting.

SeeDee
I sometimes use the NetPro system and send single bets via the batch file pick-up method. I usually do it about 30 seconds before scheduled race start without any problem, although I am not sure about heavy traffic periods. The bet usually gets lodged within a few seconds. You will have to test it out if you want to send your bet on start time.

My question.
Does anyone know if the new combined NSW/Vic TAB has an automatic batch file pick-up method similar to UniTab? I have looked through their help file and tried their Express betting but it looks as you still have to load the bet file manually or paste it in from the clipboard. I believe the Vic tab when operating alone had the auto batch file pick-up.

Debug I notice this question never was answered - did you (or anyone else) find an answer to it elsewhere, for I am also very interested in that.
