nah that was at the trots at Bendigo. I dunno how long it has been since favs have had a day like that.

Was a fairly ordinary day on the punt today.. I was at Taree for the Gold Cup.. how about Old Quadri.. Been watching and backing that ol fella for a few years now.. he pops up every now n then.. He ran yesterday in Sydney then backs up over 2000m today and beats afairly handy country field.. Pretty good effort.. As the crowd at Taree showed with the applause they gave hime and Corey Brown as they came back in. I know it doesnt sound much compared with some of the racing we have around the place, but i gotta say it was one of the gutsiest performances I have seen on a race track.. nah not one of the gutsiest... the gutsiest. I havent enjoyed a break square day at the races as much as I enjoyed today in my life.. Was a great day at Taree..

The Horse knew he had my money on him!

Seriously, he was set up for the race and with Corey Brown on him he couldn't loose. It was a simple bet really. Home town advantage all round.

Taree is Coreys home town [as you would know] and if their was one race he was going to win today it was the Cup! Would have loved to have been there. Used to live in Port Macquire a while back. Live on the Gippsland Lakes now. Bainsdale and Sale meetings.

Give me a Provincial day out at the track anytime. Only had half a dozen bets Saterday on the big tracks and still lost [a little anyway].
I'll take the money from the small tracks rather than the glory from town anyday.
