At long last I finished in front over the four days thanks mainly to SHINZIG e/w and SOVEREING MISS each way. I have found after 40 odd years of being a desperado that the way to go over the carnival is to look for horses that have put in good runs at their last start and are outside the publics vision. Doesnt work all the time but when it does you only need one or two results to turn losing into winning over the carnival. By all means stick to the in market horse s but never be afraid to look outside the box. Anyway we have the Sandown consolation stakes next week, maybe the punting gods will provide a result to appease all.
