2,3,4,5 are the contenders #8 drops off badly with the 2nd sectionals,
#4 has best 2nd sectionals should be out of 4 and 2, I

Default Sandown Race 6

Box 1st Split Rating Rank
1 $2.84 1
scr
3 $59.70 7
4 $14.83 5
5 $42.55 6
6 $9.46 3
7 $11.05 4
8 $2.91 2
You'd expect the #4 start a very short Fav in this event considering it 2nd sectionals , just needs to have a clear run early.
#1 will be expected to lead, from the #8 then they have to hold the 4 out

Of course I waited until after the race so I can look clever now
But thats the thing about slow beginners , they have to stay out of trouble , and usually that simply doesn't happen.
I think I may now understand where I am going wrong in my Markets.
I simply don't give enough benefit to potential leaders , and not enough penalties to slow beginners likely to find problems.
Although in this Race , I didn't do too badly - But lost regardless

Do you remember another poster on another forum that looked for dogs that were producing those big finishes after suffering interference, he was always looking failure in the face, and when they did win they win underlays.
Most longshots when they win, have the same characteristics, they are dogs capable of being 1,2,3 at the first turn.
Some tracks around the country, the leader at the first turn goes on to win 57% of the time , 22% for 2nd and mid teens for 3rd. Doesn't take much to know where to concentrate your efforts.

Stagger Inn is $1.70 in The Watchdog!!

I think I need to look somewhere else to find sensible people with some knowledge.
Watchdog Market framers simply have no idea , and especuially the comment writers.

RACE 9

6 STAGGER INN $3.4
1 PETER'S PROJECT $5.1
5 POWERFULL MISS $5.7
4 GIGIT $5.9
7 SHAUNY BADTOOTH $17.0
2 MORE MOO $20.4
8 COOL LENNY $28.4
3 JEDDY BOY $48.6

I ain't had time to sort the top 4 properly , but boxing them should almost get ALL the Exotics
