I hadn't seen this thread before now. When On The Take won, I wondered if you had it xpt, because I remembered that you liked horses which were the only one in the race with a C next to their name.

if there is one very important thing I have learned over the years.. it is simply put... horses tend to repeat...

Hi XPT,

Lets see if my eye is in better today.

Townsville race 1/4 Miami Vice. Ran the 1200m at this track in 1.08.19 in a C1 [won]. Up in class to a C4 but a !.08 is a 1.08 and that would win a city handicap!!! Nice barrier and will do me for today's bet.

The 68.19 is a 68.91 from where I sit. Nearly 1 second's difference.

The preceding race was 69.19 for a CLASS 6.

Furthermore it only won by 0.2 lengths.

Enough evidence to discredit the 68.19.

just out of curiousity, checked the form of Miami Vice.
Seems it's a 21 year old mare.
With the cart horses being dragged out of the woodwork all over the country these days to feed the insatiability(is that a word?) of wall to wall racing, It would not surprise me.
Would the horse be Miami Ice by any chance?

Even though I dont like Miami Ice in the race we are talking about.. there seems to be some confusion about its form.. My form is the cyberhorse punter form and it says :

MIAMI ICE

won a class 2 race at Townsville by .2 on 27/10 with 54 kg 1200m 68.91s
won a class 3 race at Townsville by .2 on 11/11 with 54.5 kg 1000m 57.18s

Interesting drop in distance

Today it is going around in a class 4 with 55 kg. 1200 m.. It has had 5 goes at the distance for the one win, no placings.. It has had the same Jock as today for the last 4 starts Its career reads 19/4/2/0 and was 2.5 on the NSW TAB when I looked.. seems a bit short for me.. but will probably win by panels

I am in no way knocking this horse.. just presenting the form that I have.

An interesting one at Sale today. Race 3-10 Aisle. Don't know an awful lot about this horse, but I know a lot about the name.

I've been betting for ages, since the late 70s in fact. However, I only really decided to start taking it seriously and start studying the races properly in early 1989. Well, the very first horse I ever put in my "blackbook" of horses to follow was a Victorian horse called AISLE and guess what - it duly came out next start and won the Victoria Handicap at Caulfield in March of 89 at nice odds. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Well, here we are, 16 years down the track and I almost feel obliged to have something on this one today. I'd probably look at saving on numbers 15 and 12 though, and maybe throw 16, 1 & 6 in for multis or something.

Anybody with an opinion on this race???
