I thought lock the vault got asked to sell by they (owners) rejected it by a 12-10 vote??Anyway, what name will it race under? They always change names when they hit another country.

I wish there was some sort of database which tells you the previous names of horses such as Silent Witness, which was Subscribe in Australia, one I use to back often too, so I was shocked to hear it was Silent Witness.

actually suscribe is now known as vengeance of rain. I believe silent witness was called eltiara but it never raced here.

the stud book has a database but it costs $30 a year to suscribe. pardon the pun : )

They origionally knocked back the offer 12 -10 but i believe the offer was upped and a re-vote resulted in the sale.

cheers

Thank you so much umrum!

I knew subscribe was some famous HK horse. I don't wish to pay $30 to know ex horses names, surely this sort of information should be freely available especially in connection with HK races as we can now bet on those races.

I love to see us be able to bet on Singapore races, if Singapore can bet on Perth races then surely we should be able to bet on Singapore races.

yeah mate,

totally agree, the studbook used to be free but last year they introduced the fee. It is a really good site but i dont know too many who pay the fee just for punting purposes.

I totally agree re: betting on singapore etc. I remember Janelle Harvey had a real promising horse sold to singapore. I think it was called brown archer over here. Won first up @ 50/1.
