System
1. FORM FIGURES
Sum each runner's last four form figures. A "X", "F" or first race start are scored as 10 points. As an example a runner with form figures of 1243 has a score of 10. A runner with form figures of 1X89 has a score of 28. The runner with the lowest summed form figures is the most consistent and best runner to back.
2. If two or more runners have the same summed form figures then the runner with the lowest most recent form figure is the preference. Keep moving back through the form figures until a selection stands out. For example, Horse "A" has form figures of 4531, while Horse "B" has form figures of 5413. Both have scores of 13. However, Horse "A" would be selected because it has the best most recent form figure with a win last start.
