Hardly, he has been in solitary confinement for nearly 6yrs.
Please don't take my response to mean that I support his sentence, just correcting an inaccuracy. |

If he is guilty as he says but only pleaded that way to get release then surely he is guilty of purgery. What's the penalty for that crime? He is not our problem!!!!!

Wow, what a Kafkaish situation!
Hicks pleads guilty to breaking a law that didn't exist when he broke it [the laws only 2ys. old] and then has to convince the Kangaroo court [well he is an Ozzie:-)] his guilty plea is 'genuine' and faces contempt of court changes if he later changes his mind ..der, he pleaded guilty to get out of the joint[?]. Naturally this has not been a political fix. lol There is a gag order on him until he is released and the fact that will happen just after the election is of course just coincidence and has nothing to do with politics. lol Now lets get this straight. If he recants his guilty plea after returning to Oz and says he is innocent of committing any crime when he was arrested [legally correct because the crime didn't exist until 4yrs. later], he can be handed over to the US military again to face contempt of court charges for changing his mind about committing a non-existent crime [?] ...only in AMERICA :-) |
