Default Lohnro

Inspired by pharfromoz and his High Chaparral thread, I'm going to attempt to bring you a Lohnro thread in the hope of finding a steady stream of winners.

Wed and Saturday this week Lohnro had 5 out of 9 winners for a very tidy P.O.T.

Today's runners are:

** Best bet would appear to be Screen in race 2. Will probably start short but in saying that appears to deserve to. The form behind Sincengarni was franked yesterday at Flemington with a good win.

I'd prefer to watch the others until they produce a win and in the case of Nosugar, a slightly easier grade.

Well the first day of operation 'track Lohnro' was interesting to say the least. My top pick Screen decided to run like the proverbial mule, whereas Damascene almost stole the chocolates at over 10/1, missing out by the shortest of margins.

Wrap up

Screen - Ran over 4 lengths last - time for a spell

Damascene - the race was run in class record time and only ran a 0.1 length second. FOLLOW!!

Ceramic - ran a reasonable 3rd, though beaten 6 lengths

Nosugar - outclassed, look for it next prep in restricted 72 grade or thereabouts.

There were two placings for a 20% P.O.T. for the place. Had Damascene got the nose in front it would have been a very nice start to proceedings.

Two shoes tips
Race 4 at Canterbury is a hot one. We'll find out what Chaste is made of. It's main opponent No.2 Cortina Girl looks close to a special if it can duplicate it's recent form. Throw Chaste in Quinellas/exacta's with no.2.

Tip - Cortina Girl / Chaste Quinella

Race 5 at Canterbury Ragnavald is an improving type who if he runs the distance will give it a shake. Back if $6 or over.

Race 3 at Kyneton I like Summarise if it can get a dry track.

If anyone is a breeding devotee and would like to shed some light on the dams of the first starters, maybe we could look at that angle also.

Won't be backing either of these today.

Rain in Africa - Needs a bit further and a dry track. Check out its form on Good Tracks - Good:5-3-0-1. 1400+ is it's go. BLACKBOOK it now and put in notes DRY TRACK!!

What a treat - appears to have some good breeding with Redoute's Choice on the Dam's side. Ordinary performance first up. Can go around without my cash until it shows something.

Will do a wrap up of results at the end of the week.

Default WHAT A TREAT!!!

Well there you go......

What a treat gets up in a weakish maiden, albeit by 1 1/2 lengths.

Paid $15.40 and Unitab and I didn't have a bean on it. There was an interesting move putting Moor onboard after S Rawiller rode it first start.

The Lohnro's are back in profit. I'll do all the sums after Sunday, when there are a stack of Lohnro's running.

One point to note: We've seen 3 or them improve markedly after their first start (between 6 and 9 lengths) and those horses being Damascene, Ceramis and now What a treat.

Hope you're having a good day's punting. I'm getting that excited feeling thinking about another Saturday. Some decent races at Doomben and Randwick.

3 runners on Saturday, don't have time for a full assessment but Deer Valley and Skytrain are both in the market, with live chances.
Fashion Wah Wah will be an interesting first starter from the Macdonald yard in SA.

Deer Valley got up yesterday posting a .10 loss for Lohnro on the day if betting with Unitab. Me thinks you could have found better than $2.90 if you spent a little time shopping. I'll be sticking with Unitab prices to show the P/L overall.

Todays runners are:

KONIGSSEE ****: Lorelei Cranbourne Race 4 at 02:45 Peter Snowden Mark Zahra
Might pay to forgive it's last run as its 2 previous would have it right in this. Dangers no's 6,7,9,and 13 (all short). Longshot Tri value injector - no.11 for 2nd and 3rd

ROWLAND ****: Paris in the Fall Cranbourne Race 4 at 02:45 Robbie Laing Matthew Allen
Is first up for 33 weeks. Has the best rated run at 1600m by my ratings however that was 2nd up last prep. Currently around $30 in early markets.

RED PIXIE ****: Long Stem Red Hawkesbury Race 3 at 02:20 Peter Snowden Joshua Parr
Will start favourite. Has been consistent and you probably won't get more than $2-2.50 win.

SANGFROID ****: Preserve Hawkesbury Race 4 at 02:55 Peter Snowden Joshua Parr
Is first up for 21 weeks. WON first up after 20 weeks last prep. Main Danger is the 1 who has consistent form.

DOMARGO ****: Life is Beautiful Hawkesbury Race 5 at 03:30 Bart Cummings Tommy Berry (a0)
Won first up and has been freshened. That was its first win and maybe Bart has figured the horse out now? Ratings have its last start win in the top 4 with no's 4,8 and 9 which are predictably, the next 3 in the market.

Hopefully we'll get a winner to keep the Lohnro ledger into positive territory.

Two Shoes Tip

SANGFROID - with a saver on no.1.

Have a great Sunday.
