Has the whole pattern of racing been changed?....once, there was no value in betting the exotics in small fields.....but no longer!
A punter should definitely give serious consideration to the fact that a disproportionate number of longshots are now winning these races. Therefore, this offers opportunities for the savvy investor to benefit from these statistics. Forget about form, make sure you include the longshot(s) in your exotic bets to capitalise on the prospects of receiving a sizeable reward. |

Xanadu,
have you looked at the numbers for this. I used to bet the long shot first, fav second and field third for greyhounds and it worked better than expected for a long time. Have you looked at how many races fit the bill each week and what the success rate is?? I fiddled with it a few weeks ago when someone mentioned a similar idea but it didnt seem to stack up over the previous few months. Maybe a few qualifying conditions and it might be a good 'un. One does sense there is an opening here, and its worth the exploration. see ya Every Topic |

Hullo Every Topic,
Good to hear from you. Yes, there appears to be an incentive to give this some research. I will be monitoring this angle much closer from now on. Cheers. |
