Default Butten Shaw

I'm a bit surprised to see Butten Shaw take his place in this. In my view he's much better on bigger tracks (see his below par efforts at Traralgon and Moonee Valley). I would have thought they'd save him for a race on New Year's day at Flemington. Anyway, I'll reserve judgment on him for a more complete analysis later.

Default Butten Shaw

Couldn't agree more with Filante's comments re Butten Shaw. That being said he also needs to be ridden close, evidenced by his grinding win LS, and some of those below par runs he was too far back.

Mr. Lofty will be very, very hard to beat. Doubt they can beat him IMO. Top first up run, which led to him being unders 2nd up when he'd be obviously flat from the first up run. Whatever beats him will have to do a career best. He's the bet of the day for me.
